Athenian ran three times as a two-year-old and showed ability, including an encouraging third at Southwell in October.

Trained by Sir Mark Prescott, Athenian looks to be starting her three-year-old career on a decent handicap mark and being a tough and sound filly, should give her owners plenty of fun this coming Flat season. Having enjoyed a holiday over the winter, Athenian is now back in Newmarket and looks set for an early season return to action as she would appreciate some cut in the ground.
