Captain Simon is a six-year-old bay gelding who won both a point-to-point and a bumper, prior to joining Axom. Captain Simon ran three times in novice hurdles in the autumn of 2017, but was disappointing on his handicap debut in May, after which he was given a summer break.

Captain Simon is by Dubai Destination and is a half-brother to the prolific nine-time winner, Slieveardagh. He is in training with Dan Skelton at his impressive Lodge Hill Stables in Warwickshire.

Hopefully, Captain Simon will show improved for this autumn and give his owners some fun on the racecourse.
