Hydroplane won his second race in five days this week, when romping home at Wolverhampton under Luke Morris, following a breakthrough success at Salisbury last weekend. The three-year-old son of Pour Moi is still fairly inexperienced, but he has a great attitude and looks to be a horse on the incline. Congratulations to his owners and the team at Heath House Stables.

Fidux got his chasing career off to the perfect start at Hexham on Saturday, with a determined win at the north east track. Ridden by Wayne Hutchinson for Alan King, Fidux jumped well in the main and a good jump at the last fence meant that he landed running and was able to get the better of the odds-on favourite, Notwhatiam, on the run-in. This was an impressive performance by Fidux and he will hopefully go on to better things over the larger obstacles in time.
Friday 14 June, 2019
Declared runner - Fidux at Hexham on Saturday 14 June for Alan King and Wayne Hutchinson.
Wednesday 12 June, 2019

Tuesday 11 June, 2019
Both Orliko (Richard Hannon) and Makanah (Julie Camacho) won last week at Brighton and Musselburgh respectively. Orliko will hopefully continue to progress as he steps up in grade and Makanah could develop into a very useful sprinter in time, as his new rating of 96 might suggest. Congratulations to the owners of both of these recent winners.
Sunday 9 June, 2019
Declared Runner - Orliko bids to follow up his latest win, on Tuesday 11 June for Richard Hannon and Rossa Ryan.
Monday 27 May, 2019

Thursday 16 May, 2019
Axom has two interesting runners tomorrow (Friday 17 May), in the shape of Orliko (2.00 Newmarket) and Fidux (6.40 Aintree). Orliko is making his seasonal debut under Tom Marquand for Richard Hannon and he will hopefully have come on for a winter break and his three runs as a juvenile in 2018. Fidux ran really well to finish third at Cheltenham last time and he looks to have a good chance at Aintree, despite carrying top weight.
Monday 13 May, 2019
Declared Runner - Blakeney Point on Wednesday at York's Dante Meeting for Roger Charlton and Jason Watson.
Thursday 2 May, 2019
Makanah improved at a rate of knots last season and he will hopefully start where he left off if he lines up at Thirsk on Saturday. Julie Camacho is delighted with how he looks and it will be interesting to see him back on the track for his enthusiastic and loyal owners. Makanah is a very likeable young sprinter and has won twice for Axom; his last success coming at Doncaster in August 2018. His stable mate, Deansgate, has enjoyed a good break and is now back in work. Now a six-year-old, Deansgate will hopefully be able to translate his excellent all-weather form to the turf this spring and summer.

Nylon Speed won his fourth race in Axom colours on Saturday evening at Kempton, when showing a good turn of foot under David Probert. Nylon Speed loves the all-weather, but trainer Alan King could revert to hurdles with the five-year-old once the ground improves this spring.

Falco Blitz ran a promising race at Warwick yesterday, to finish second in a hot-looking novice hurdle. Trained by Nicky Henderson, Falco Blitz travelled and jumped well and there will hopefully be lots to look forward to with him. A limited number of shares are available in the Axom 4-horse syndicate, which includes Falco Blitz. Further information is available on the 'Join A Syndicate' page.
Wednesday 20 February, 2019
Nylon Speed ran another sound race to finish third last Saturday, 16 February, when again disadvantaged by a poor draw. The consistent gelding hardly knows how to run a bad race and has confirmed his wellbeing with two wins, a third and fourth place this all-weather season. Nylon Speed had to travel over from the widest draw in the mile and half contest, but sat handily throughout the race. The eventual winner, Unit Of Assessment, kicked on inside the final quarter of a mile, with Nylon Speed staying on well to finish third. The handicapper has reacted by raising him a pound in the weights, confirming this was another excellent effort. This likeable horse deserves to find another winning opportunity this spring and we just hope he can have some luck with the draw to make this task easier.

Nylon Speed won his third race in Axom silks on Saturday, when powering away on the all-weather at Lingfield in a competitive handicap over a mile and a half. Ridden with confidence by Martin Harley, Nylon Speed showed a smart turn of foot to record a decisive win for owners Axom LXXIV and trainer Alan King.
Friday 4 January, 2019
Declared Runner - Nylon Speed at Lingfield on Saturday for Alan King and Martin Harley.
Friday 14 December, 2018
Deansgate continues to give his all for his enthusiastic owners in the Axom LXIII syndicate and finished third on his most recent appearance at Newcastle. He was sent off at 5/1 in what looked a tougher race than the one he won previously, and he had a 3lb rise to contend with, but he tried his level best and stayed on well to press the winner, but couldn't quite reel him in and lost second close home to the fast-finishing favourite. He has unsurprisingly been left on the same mark of 79 by the handicapper and we look forward to seeing him back at Newcastle in the New Year.
Tuesday 4 December, 2018
Declared runner - Ellarna for Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden at Ludlow on Wednesday.
Friday 30 November, 2018
Buster Thomas won well at Doncaster this afternoon for his owners, Axom LXVII and trainer Emma Lavelle. The son of Westerner has now won twice over fences and yet again, showed a really good attitude to battle all the way up the straight to get the better of Nightfly. Emma is enjoying a brilliant run of form at the moment and Buster Thomas could be out again over the Christmas period if the ground does not become too testing.
Thursday 29 November, 2018
Declared Runner - Buster Thomas at Doncaster on Friday for Aidan Coleman and Emma Lavelle.

Deansgate gained the third win of his career at Newcastle last week, with an impressive display under Jason Hart. The son of Dandy Man is the model of consitency and his owners have enjoyed another good year with two wins and numerous decent efforts in defeat. Two days later, Fidux gave his owners a real thrill when landing a Listed handicap hurdle at Ascot in emphatic style. Ridden with confidence by Wayne Hutchinson, this was a great performance and it will be fascinating to see where he heads next.
Thursday 1 November, 2018
Declared Runner - Orliko at Newmarket on Friday for Richard Hannon and Hollie Doyle.
Wednesday 24 October, 2018
Javert, who won so impressively at Uttoxeter last time after over two years off the track, is likely to head to Aintree this weekend for the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase. Owned by Axom LII, Javert is a really talented jumper and has now won four of his six chase starts, impressing on each occasion. Emma Lavelle, who trains Javert, also handled the sorely-missed Edgardo Sol to finish second in the Old Roan Chase back in 2014 and she traditionally does very well at the Merseyside venue. The ground has become very fast again at almost every racecourse after another dry week but Aintree do a great job and water consistently through the summer to ensure safe ground if there is a dry autumn. We will be keeping everything crossed for Javert and his owners on Sunday and hope he runs well at this wonderful Grade 1 track.
Wednesday 10 October, 2018
Fidux won nicely on his seasonal debut today at Southwell in a competitive handicap hurdle over two miles. Trained by Alan King and ridden by Wayne Hutchinson, Fidux travelled very well and jumped with accuracy to record a comprehensive victory. Congratulations to his owners!
Thursday 4 October, 2018
Declared Runners - Axom have Makanah running at Redcar (Julie Camacho/Paul Hanagan) and Blakeney Point at Ascot (Kieran Shoemark/Roger Charlton) on Saturday.
Tuesday 25 September, 2018
Nylon Speed wins his first hurdle race! Nylon Speed is now unbeaten in Axom colours, following wins on the Flat at Kempton last month and over hurdles at Warwick on Tuesday 25 September. He opened his account over timber for Alan King and Wayne Hutchinson in fine style, beating the odds-on favourite and dual winner, Full Bore, trained by Nicky Henderson. This was an excellent introduction for the German import and we hope he can enjoy a long and successful career in Axom colours.
Monday 24 September, 2018
Javert bounced back to his brilliant best on Sunday, when landing the feature race at Uttoxeter in great style under Leighton Aspell. Javert had been off the track for over 800 days but Emma Lavelle had him absolutely spot on and he ran out an impressive winner. Congratulations to his patient owners and everyone at Bonita Stables!
Friday 21 September, 2018
Declared runner - Javert for Emma Lavelle and Leighton Aspell at Uttoxeter on Sunday!
Thursday 20 September, 2018

Thursday 20 September, 2018
Blakeney Point gained a breakthrough success in Pattern company last Saturday, when landing the Listed Stand Cup Stakes at Chester. The son of Sir Percy had strung together four good efforts in better company this year prior to this engagement and the race at Chester looked his easiest assignment of the year on paper. He had won at the track earlier in his career and got his preferred ground this time, so everything looked set for a big run and he didn't disappoint. As a horse who likes cut in the ground, there will be lots of options for him this autumn and we look forward to seeing where he heads next. Congratulations to his owners!
Thursday 13 September, 2018
Blakeney Point has not had his favoured soft ground so far this year but conditions should be in his favour this weekend, when he lines up for a competitive handicap at Chester on Saturday. Good luck to all of his owners.
Thursday 6 September, 2018
Declared Runner - Makanah at Thirsk on Saturday for Julie Camacho and Graham Lee.
Wednesday 29 August, 2018
If you had told us before the Ebor that Blakeney Point would finish fifth, we would have been very happy indeed. Sent off at 12/1 and tipped up by a number of pundits, including on ITV, Blakeney raced towards the back of the field under Jamie Spencer, having missed the break by a fraction. He travelled strongly on the inside and was forced to weave his way through in the straight, ending up coming off the rail to make progress down the middle of the track, before getting up for fifth in the shadow of the post and beaten only six lengths. The winner is a Group horse and won a Group 3 at four last year, while the second was the highest-rated runner in the field. Blakeney Point had a number of useful horses behind him, including Nakeeta, who won the Ebor last year before finishing fifth in the Melbourne Cup. Blakeney Point has done his owners proud this year and despite not getting his head in front yet at five, he has run consistently well and hasn't had his optimum ground conditions since winning at Leicester on his final start last year. Hopefully, now that the weather has taken a turn and autumn is upon us, Roger can find a winning opportunity for him soon.
Thursday 23 August, 2018
Declared runner - Blakeney Point in the £500,000 Ebor Handicap at York on Saturday for Roger Charlton and Jamie Spencer.
Monday 6 August, 2018
Makanah was a good winner at Doncaster on Saturday to land his second win of the season. Makanah shows plenty of speed and seemed to relish this drop back to the minimum trip. Well done to his owners.
Thursday 2 August, 2018
Blakeney Point ran well in the Old Newton Cup on his last start at Haydock, but he returns to Goodwood tomorrow, to contest the Group 3 Glorious Stakes for what will be his toughest assignment to date. The son of Sir Percy is a model of consistency, has run really well at the track before and hopes are high that he will build on his excellent effort in a Listed race there earlier in the season. Blakeney Point has been in very good form at home and everyone is hopeful that he will run his usual, consistent race. Roger Charlton has plotted Blakeney Point's campaign very carefully and he has opted to run in this Group 3 race rather than the handicap in which he was second last year. Good luck to all of his owners.
Tuesday 17 July, 2018
Declared Runners on Thursday - Early Edition for Sir Mark Prescott and Luke Morris at Leicester and Deansgate for Julie Camacho and David Allan at Doncaster.
