Buster Thomas is an eight-year-old bay gelding by Westerner out of Awesome Miracle. He is in training with Emma Lavelle.

Buster Thomas won his first start in Axom colours, at Lingfield in December 2016, having finished second in his only Point-to-Point start in April 2016 for his previous connections, when he caught the eye of many judges with his fine round of jumping and excellent attitude.

He enjoyed an excellent season in 2017/2018, culminating in an impressive win over fences at Wincanton in April. Last season, he added another victory to his tally when the winner of a Class 3 handicap chase at Doncaster. After this race, Buster Thomas suffered a tendon injury, but he is making good progress and is likely to return to training towards the end of the year (2019).

Buster Thomas is a half-brother to the ex-Axom and now retired Grade 3 winner, Shotgun Paddy. Like Shotgun Paddy was, Buster Thomas is trained by Emma Lavelle at her new state of the art training facilities in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
