Fidux is a five-year-old gelding by Fine Grain out of Folle Tempete. He is trained by Alan King.

Fidux won twice as a juvenile hurdler, before taking his owners to Cheltenham for the Festival in 2017, where he ran in the Fred Winter Hurdle. Although not making the frame on this occasion, he finished third on Jumps Finale day at Sandown the following month and has backed that up with some sound performances since then. He is a tough and consistent horse, who loves his racing and is a joy to watch.

Fidux ran well without winning in the 2017/18 season, particularly at his beloved Sandown, where he seems to run his best races. His 2018/19 season got off to the best possible start when he landed a competitive handicap hurdle in good style at Southwell. He then landed a hugely competitive Listed hurdle at Ascot in impressive style.

Hurdle rating: 143
Note: On 22 January 2019, there were 4,016 horses with an official BHA hurdle rating, the lowest being 44 and the highest 172. The median average is currently 107.

'Fidux is a really genuine horse and doesn't know how to run a bad race. He's a pleasure to train and his win at Ascot [November 2018] was very impressive.' Alan King
